FIRST PROJECT
This semester we mainly focused on coding and the different branching systems. HTML is a type of code that we used while making our Twine (Twine is a computer based program where you can create a story and omit code). We used Twine to tie our social justice topic into computer science. Before Twine though, we had to create our own Gliffy (Gliffy is a computer based flow chart) because this gave us an example of what our Twine was going to be like. With Twine, we had to also make sure that our Twine followed a branching system. My Twine and Gliffy followed the Time Cave branching system because it has multiple endings.
SECOND PROJECT
For our second project of the semester we mainly focused on using Scratch and understanding everything. Scratch is an MIT website where you connect really easy "blocks" of code to create an animation or game. We had to create a game or animation based off of our scenario for Lost in Space. I actually decided to create both, so my Scratch was an animation in the beginning (where you have to get away from a lightning bolt with your user input) and the rest was just an animation.
